Since 1901 Schulte is producing subtle precious mohair fabrics. The name Schulte has become a synonym for high quality hair fabrics. As a specialist for mohair and alpaca fabrics, Schulte is delivering everything from one source, i.e. furs are exclusively woven, dyed and refined in Germany. Especially for premium natural material it is crucial to have a professional and faultless production in place. In order to guarantee such a high quality level, Schulte applies quality controls after every production stage.

Ecological production

Since decades Schulte is providing material to teddy bear fabricants around the world. Since teddy bears are also made for children just ecological friendly material is used for the production. Even for indirect and supporting material an absolute environmental sustainability is ensured.

"A real teddy bear should have a real teddy bear fur!" Schulte is producing teddy bear material out of 100% 'natural hair' called Mohair and Alpaca. No animals have to suffer or die for this kind of fur. Mohair is shiny silky hair of the Angora goat obtained through an ordinary shearing. Alpacas live in the high lands of the Andes. The shearing of the Alpacas is just feasible every second year. That is why the Alpaca hair becomes so exclusively soft and smooth.
